2025 Advanced League Tryouts (Oakville Rangers Hockey Club)

Each Advanced League Tryout will consist of three skates, 1-hour each. Each skate will be a Split Session (with the exception of U17), with half of the skaters going to one hour and half to the other. When registering for Advanced League Tryouts please assume you will be attending all three skates. You should receive an email either the night before or morning of each skate letting you know which of the Split Sessions to attend. If you do not receive that email please attend the first hour.

All tryout registrations must go through the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) - the same system you use to register your child for hockey each season. Step-by-step instructions are available here. The Tryout Registration Fee for ORHC Advanced League Tryouts is $85. As a not-for-profit organization, these fees cover ice time, instructors, and admin costs. Any surplus is reinvested into making hockey more affordable.

If you are not able to attend a Tryout due to injury, illness, or schedule conflict please inform the coach directly.

With the exception of U17, all of the Tryout Skates include two separate groups (ie. 7:00pm and 8:00pm). You will receive an email from the coach with your assigned time. For example, let’s say there is a 2-hour session at 7:00pm. This is a single Tryout Skate, but half of the participants would go to at 7pm and the other half at 8pm - you will only attend ONE of the skates.

Many of the Division's are split between two levels - an "A" Team and a "Red" Team. Here is what you need to know:

• You register by division (ie. U16), NOT by level. You CAN NOT register specifically to try out for only the "A" Team or the Red Team.
• "A" and Red coaches collaborate during Tryouts.
• When registering for Tryouts you be required to acknowledge and agree that, when applicable, you are being evaluated for ALL of the Advanced League teams within the Division and not any specific one.

Tryout Refunds are available up to 24 hours before the first skate. After that, no refunds will be issued - no exceptions, even if the player doesn’t attend.
