The Oakville Rangers are looking for great volunteers who will bring a renewed energy, different ideas and a fresh perspective to the club and our initiatives. This is YOUR hockey club! We want you involved - we want you to feel ownership - we want/need your help to make this the best minor sports organization in Canada.
Coaches are needed at the following House League divisions for the 2025/26 season:
U5- 1
U7-1
U8- 5
U9- 6
U11- 1
U18- 1
Volunteers are the lifeblood and backbone of the Oakville Rangers. We currently have a small team of heroically dedicated volunteers who show up and help out in almost every aspect of the club. They need some help and they need to train/guide a new generation of volunteers. This will be a very exciting year for the club and we want/need your help to shape and deliver the future.
We are looking for parents, grandparents, siblings, hockey enthusiasts... anyone who is interested.
If you want to help out just scroll down and let us know. It is that simple! We are always looking for people to help out on the bench, during practice, as a Manager or Convenor, and more! You can help an hour or two a week, or you can really dive in and pick up some of the heavy lifting – it’s up to you! You don’t have to be a "hockey person" to help – there are roles that need some hockey knowledge, of course, but there are administrative and managerial roles as well and we will train you.
Many volunteer positions do require certain certifications. Don't worry if you do not already have these. The club will guide you through the process and in most cases we also cover the costs! What's in it for you? The simple joy and satisfaction of knowing how much you've helped our kids play the game we all love. Many of the certifications required are not hockey specific and can help you in other volunteer roles and can even look great on your resume!
*Please note that in order to be a member of a teams Bench Staff (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer, Manager) volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old at the start of the hockey season.
