Jr. Rangers Leadership Program: Application Process Now Open
The Oakville Rangers are pleased to announce the Jr. Rangers Leadership program will be returning for the 2025-2026 hockey season. This program is open to all U15-U18 Rangers players. Complete your high school volunteer hours, gain valuable leadership, and career experience, and most importantly, make a positive contribution to minor hockey here in Oakville!
Leaders will assist in leading U5, U7, U8 and U9 Jr. Rangers Programs for the upcoming 2025/26 season (approx. 20 weeks). A minimum of 4 hours of volunteering bi-weekly is required (opportunities to pick-up more hours will be available). Duties will primarily include assisting with team practices and organizing game days (setting up bumpers, boards, music, managing the clock, etc.).
Participating in and completing this program will provide Leaders with:
- Certificate of Completion.
- An official Jr. Rangers Coach hoodie.
- Professional Leadership Training.
- Volunteer Hours to meet Ontario Secondary School Requirements.
- The opportunity to make a positive contribution to the next generation of hockey players in Oakville.
Interested candidates should possess proficient skating ability and be comfortable with demonstrating and assisting in on-ice drills, candidates must act in a professional manner and demonstrate leadership/mentorship attributes when interacting with young athletes.
