Oakville Rangers Elite Performance Program is back and improved!
The Oakville Rangers Elite Performance Program (OREPP) is an individual skill, strength and conditioning and team development program that focuses primarily on the club’s AAA teams (U10 to U16).
This year, Phase 1 of OREPP runs from Monday, May 4th until Tuesday, June 30th. During that time, each U10 to U13 AAA team has 7 on-ice sessions in Oakville and 17 Off-Ice Strength and Conditioning Sessions @ LTS Oakville while each U14 to U16 AAA team has 7 on-ice sessions in Oakville and 25 Off-Ice Strength and Conditioning Sessions @ LTS Oakville.
191 of 192 OREPP events occur Monday to Friday which keeps weekends free for spring hockey teams (which we don't recommend) and lacrosse / baseball / soccer / other. New this year, every Saturday morning at LTS Oakville there are make-up sessions for any player who misses 1 of their Off-Ice sessions during the week. U10-U13 make-up sessions are Saturdays from 11:00-12:00PM and U14-U16 make-up sessions are 12:00-1:00PM
By far the most exciting part of OREPP is who is delivering the programming because it is all about coaching!
- INDIVIDUAL SKILLS AND TEAM SYSTEMS: This will be driven by the club’s VP AAA & Player Development Rob Hisey and the club’s Director of Player & Coach Development Mike DeRenzis (see all bios below). They will work with our AAA coaches to deliver development that will improve both players and teams.
- SKATING DEVELOPMENT: Back again are Michelle Moore Davison (skating coach on the Player Development Staff for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies, and their prospects) and Ryan Moore, owners of The Burlington Pond Hockey Training Centre. They will lead our skating development for the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club and the OREPP program.
- OFF-ICE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TRAINING: The Oakville Rangers Director of Sports Performance, Paul Ferri, and his team at Limitless Training Systems (LTS) will be leading the club’s off-ice development at their new facility that is for the exclusive use of the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club.
Last year, OREPP was a difference maker and with timing and organizational improvements, this year promises to be even more impactful for player and team development. OREPP delivers the coaches/programs that everyone wants at prices that no one else gets thanks to the club's investment.
Just another demonstration of the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club's commitment to attracting, retaining, developing and advancing players through our Rep development pathways so they can achieve the highest competitive level possible.

Rob Hisey: Rob was born and raised in Oakville Ontario where he began his minor hockey career with the Oakville Rangers organization. Rob went on to play the remainder of his minor hockey years in the GTHL and was later drafted to the OHL where he spent 4 successful seasons accumulating over 300 points. Rob’s professional career spanned 13 years and most of the worlds top leagues including an NHL contract with the NY Islander’s and seasons in the AHL, ECHL, CHL, SHL, SMLIGA, DEL, and EBEL. Rob is well known for his creative playmaking and highlight reel goals.
In 2017 Rob retired from the game and decided to pursue coaching. In the summer months Rob has trained the likes of Sam Gagner, Taylor Hall, John Tavares, Jason Spezza, and Quinn and Jack Hughes. Rob’s passion for the game is contagious and he brings a unique skill set to all his lessons.
Mike DeRenzis: Mike played his minor hockey at the AAA level ever year, starting with the Oakville Rangers and then finishing with the Mississauga Senators, and was proud to be named the captain of his team every year from Minor Atom to Minor Midget. He then made the jump to Jr. A, as he was the only 16-year-old skater selected to the team straight from Minor Midget. His 2nd season in junior he was named Assistant Captain, and then became Captain the following season. Unfortunately, only 5 games into that season while obtaining an NCAA division 1 scholarship, Mike’s playing career was cut short at the age of 18 due to being diagnosed with a heart-condition.
This opened the gate into coaching and instructing, as only a few weeks later Mike joined on as an Assistant Coach with both the Atom Rangers and the Streetsville Derby’s Jr. A team, as well as beginning his own Hockey School called First Star Hockey.
Now, 15 years into coaching rep hockey and running First Star Hockey, Mike has found lots of success most notably coaching the 2023/24 U16AAA Oakville Rangers to the OHL Championship.
Mike brings the ability to teach players individual skills, as well as how to think and play the game at an elite level, to prepare them for the next level after minor hockey. He takes pride in his ability to connect with his players, create a fun learning environment, and instill in them a passion for the game and a love for coming to the rink. He is excited to continue working with this great group of players!
Michele Moore Davison and Ryan Moore: Michele and Ryan are experts in Technical Skating Development, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the game. Both have extensive backgrounds working with high-caliber hockey players. In addition to her work at The Burlington Pond, Michele serves as a skating coach on the Player Development Staff for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies, and their prospects.
Ryan has over 10 years of skating & skills coaching at The Burlington Pond and with local organizations, working with elite players in minor hockey, Junior, and Pro levels. Together, they have had great success helping players progress from elite rep levels to the OHL, NCAA, and NHL.
As owners of The Burlington Pond Hockey Training Centre, Michele and Ryan specialize in refining the fine details of skating, enhancing acceleration, agility, mobility, power, and overall speed to help players reach their full potential. They are excited to work with the Oakville Rangers Elite Performance Program and bring their expertise to help develop the next generation of players.
Paul Ferri: Paul has always been interested in the world of Fitness and Performance. After graduating from his second degree at university, he was training clients before and after work when the opportunity struck to buy into a CrossFit Gym. From there, he quit his job at an Architecture Firm and went full on in the world of Fitness. He was very fortunate at a young age to get involved at the NHL level with the Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets, where over a 9 year period, he gained the knowledge needed as a Strength Coach to develop programs that focus on the developmental stages of an athlete. He has taken that knowledge of understanding true development and uses it daily as the Director of Performance for the Niagara IceDogs in the OHL.
In 2015 he founded Limitless Training Systems and from day one had the goal of bringing every element required to fully understand the ins and outs of an athlete into one building. They have developed the most in-depth foundational program possible, focused purely on Athlete Development, from testing, to data collection and monitoring everything they need to know about an athlete. He is grateful for the support his Athletes have given them over the years to develop LTS into what it is today - a powerful place, focused on YOUR Goals and truly providing the ultimate training experience!
