Meet the Coach
I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and played competitive hockey in the Windsor Minor Hockey Association. I have been coaching at various levels from AAA to house league. Having spent 16 years with the Meadowvale Hockey Association and 18 years with the Mississauga Jets before returning to Oakville in 2022. I have also coached in the Oakville Hornets Association for 5 years. I am a proud member of the Meadowvale Minor Hockey Association Hall of Fame and have twice been awarded the Civic Award of Recognition from the city of Mississauga for my recognition of achievement in sports.

Our Team Philosophy
We believe in playing the game at the highest level while still maintaining the fun and enjoyment of hockey. We will focus on developing the core skills of each player. We want to win with honor and humility. We want to show respect in losses. Our team motto has always been “with win class lose with class”. We want to instill pride and confidence. We will push the players hard in a disciplined and rewarding environment. We will strive to be the best in building character and teaching life lessons as we enjoy the great game that we are all passionate about. Practice will be high tempo and organized, and all players will be expected to work hard and stay focused throughout the practice.

Our Team Goals
To create a sense of team pride, develop the desire to work hard, have fun, make new friends educate the players on the game and to reinforce the passion we all have for the game. Create an environment where each player arrives to the arena believing and knowing they are part of a team and together, we will learn to love and respect the game. Remember this is a rep program so we will be working to win as many games as possible. However, win or lose we will focus on teaching how to play the game with respect.

The Player Commitment
The way we practice is the way we will play. We will practice like champions so that we will play like a Champion. We will make ourselves and teammates better by always giving 100% in practice and games. Focus, Hustle and Heart are the three most important characteristics that we will be looking for.

Coaching Staff

Assistant Coach (Defense): Tony Lepera
Tony has been a member of my staff since 1988 and a key contributor to the many successes our teams have had both on and off the ice. Tony is also a member of the Meadowvale Hockey Hall of Fame and has also received the Civic Award of Recognition from the City of Mississauga. Tony is a firm believer in having the D participate in team development drills but also focuses on defensive drills/tactics to ensure our D can contribute to our success both offensively and defensively.
