Meet the Coach
Rob was born in Port Colborne and played his minor hockey in the Niagara Region. After minor hockey he went on to play Jr B with the Fort Erie Meteors and was then drafted to the OHL by the North Bay Centennials and also played for the Owen Sound Platers. Rob's passion and love for the game led him to coaching. He has coached at various levels from minor hockey to junior level . He has served as Coach at the OHL U15 Program of Excellence multiple times and just spent the past 5 seasons coaching the AAA Southern Tier Admirals. As a coach Rob believes in teaching the fundamentals of the game, teaching players to play the right way in all three zones while always guiding our players, individually and collectively to be better today than yesterday. He believes proper communication with players is key to getting the most out of them.

About The Program

What we are looking for
My belief as a coach is that I shouldn't have to coach "work ethic or compete level". I am always looking for players who will compete, who will practice as hard as they play while also possessing a high hockey IQ. These are the traits that separate the good players from the great players. I believe in high intensity practices, that are fast paced with lots of flow, in a competitive but fun environment. I believe kids should enjoy coming to the rink whether its a game or practice. We are looking to create a "team first" culture with an emphasis on "playing for each other".
