I was born in Burlington and grew up playing my minor hockey for the Eagles. I had the pleasure of winning the 2009 AA OMHA Championship with the Burlington Eagles and I look forward to achieving that goal with the Oakville Rangers U18 AA. I intend to put forth a team that plays systematic, respectful, and disciplined hockey to ensure that we are developing our players on and off the ice. The focus of the U18 AA Oakville program this year will be to move our players past the AA level to Junior Hockey. Each player will have an opportunity to be part of the Junior Hockey experience due to our affiliation with the Caledon Goldenhawks Jr. C program.
Coaching Credentials
- Head Coach Oakville U18 AA Blue / Assistant Coach Caledon Goldenhawks Jr. C (2025-2026)
- Head Coach Humberview Huskies (2009 Age Group) U16 AA / Assistant Coach Caledon Admirals Jr. A (2024-2025)
- Assistant Coach Caledon Bombers Jr B (2023-2024)
- Assistant Coach U18 “AAA” Halton Hurricanes (2022-2023)
- Assistant Coach U15 “AAA” Burlington Eagles (2021-2022)
- Played Junior B. Hockey - EOJHL
- Played High School Varsity: Nelson Flames (Burlington, ON)
- Played for Burlington Eagles “AA” & “AAA” - 2009 OMHA AA Champion
The coaching staff will be looking for players which implement these four pillars that the program is built on:
- Respect: we give respect to other teams, players, and referees
- Attention to Detail: every player will be attentive at practice and during games so that we can execute the structure properly to compete at this level
- Compete Level: we will compete in every practice and game which will rewards us in the end
- Have Fun: hockey is meant to be fun! As a coach, one of the biggest benefits is seeing a team incorporate a system and have fun while doing it
On-Ice Development
- Introducing new skills (ie. Surfing, Scanning, Tracking, Indirect Movements, Stick in Lanes, Climb and Downhill): this will help teach the terminology that they would see at the higher levels outside of minor hockey.
- Systematic Play: teaching our players how to play within a system that doesn’t rely solely on the talent of the player but the team itself. Outside of minor hockey (OHL, OJHL etc.) – skill is a portion of the game but also being a player that can play within the guidelines of the next coach’s system can make you more desirable at junior camps.
- Execution: from the coach to player, we want to introduce a system that teaches skill, creates intensity, adds pressure, and creates layers so that we are sound offensively/defensively when it comes to playoffs.
Off-Ice Development
- Individual Growth: introduce a workout plan that the player can do at home (not on gamedays.) Hold the player accountable by having them track the workouts. This helps create self-discipline and keeps us in shape throughout the season.
- Open Dialogue: from coaching staff to players, we want to be able to create an atmosphere that everyone is comfortable speaking in-front of the team. Emphasizing that we don’t look down on any teammate is important which helps create a winning atmosphere.

Assistant Coach (defence / goalie): Andre Keire
Born and raised in Burlington/Oakville, I played minor hockey with the Burlington Eagles and Brampton Battalions AAA. Once completing minor hockey, I continued my goaltending career to the junior level. Playing 5 years amongst the OJHL, GOJHL and PJHL. I returned to coaching from 2010-2013 with the Stoney Creek Sabres Midget A Girls Hockey as a goalie/defense coach. In my final season with the team, we won the provincial championships.
