House League Bench Staff Requirements
Each team is allowed up to a maximum of five (5) people on the Bench Staff. These are the only people that are allowed on the bench during a game. Every team must have, at a minimum, a Head Coach and a Trainer. The ideal bench make-up is a Head Coach, two Assistant Coaches, a Trainer, and an Assistant Trainer. Teams are also allowed On-Ice Volunteers. These people are allowed on the ice to assist with Team Practices but are not permitted to be on the bench during a game.

Every Volunteer within the OHF, including the Oakville Rangers, MUST have a Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance completed and submitted. Vulnerable Sector Police Clearances are good for three (3) years. The ORIGINAL copy MUST be submitted to the OHF Screening Submission Portal (https://www.ohf.on.ca/risk-management/vulnerable-sector-checks-vsc/). The Oakville Rangers DO NOT cover the cost of a Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance.
If you live within the Halton Region, including Oakville, you can Click Here to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance. If you are a Volunteer who lives outside of Oakville/Halton Region you will need to go to your local police to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance. You may be asked to produce a letter from the OHF to request a Vulnerable Sector Check - this letter can be downloaded at https://www.ohf.on.ca/media/ofonwcwe/ohf-letter-requesting-vsc.pdf.
You are also required to complete and submit a Criminal Offense Declaration Form EVERY YEAR. Please go to https://www.ohf.on.ca/risk-management/vulnerable-sector-checks-vsc/ to fill out and submit the Criminal Offence Declaration Form.

- U9 & Younger: Coaching - Coach 1 - $135.60 (ORHC will reimburse you) [No Expiry]
- U10 & Older: Coaching - Coach 2 - $129.95 (ORHC will reimburse you) [No Expiry]
- U10 & Older: Coaching - Checking - $24.43 (ORHC will reimburse you) [No Expiry]
- Shift Forward for Coaches and On-Ice Officials - $30.50 (ORHC will reimburse you) [No Expiry]
- Gender Sensitivity Clinic - FREE [No Expiry]

EVERY TEAM MUST HAVE A TRAINER

- HCSP Trainer Certification - Level 1 * - $28.75 (ORHC will reimburse you) [Expires after 3 years], or
- HCSP Trainer Refresher - Level 1 * - $22.75 (ORHC will reimburse you) [Expires after 3 years]
- Shift Forward for Coaches and On-Ice Officials - $30.50 (ORHC will reimburse you) [No Expiry]
- Gender Sensitivity Clinic - FREE [No Expiry]
* All NEW Trainers must take the HCSP Trainer Certification, which expires after three (3) years on August 31st. RETURNING Trainers with a HCSP Trainer Certification that is expiring August 31st of the current year must complete the HCSP Trainer Refresher course BEFORE August 31st - if you allow your HCSP Trainer Certification to expire you will have to do the whole clinic over again!
