The tournament features elite teams from Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland and Czechia. It is one of the most important early international stages for the next generation of hockey stars. This is the first time a minor hockey association has been awarded hosting duties.
Hockey Canada U17 World Challenge alumni include NHL superstars Connor McDavid, Macklin Celebrini, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, the Hughes brothers, Mitch Marner, Patrick Kane, Auston Matthews, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnák, William Nylander, Mikko Rantanen and Nick Suzuki, along with legends including Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin, Carey Price, Jarome Iginla, Joe Thornton and the Sedin brothers.
More than one-third of current NHL players have participated in this event so this really is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see future NHL superstars and world class hockey right in your own backyard.
The Bronze and Gold medal games will be broadcast nationally live on TSN!
Tickets are only $25, making this is a very economical family and/or team outing. We hope you can join us for 1 of the 16 games that take place between Friday, October 30 and Saturday, November 7 at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville.
