As you may have heard, your Oakville Rangers Hockey Club is hosting Hockey Canada's U17 World Challenge (October 30 - November 7). This tournament is a BIG DEAL (see details below) and the Oakville Rangers and our beautiful town being selected to host is an even BIGGER DEAL and WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN! Please read on for more detail.
If you are over 18 years old and interested in being a volunteer for a few hours or a day or all week, please click on the link below and share your details. All volunteers will receive training, an EXCLUSIVE commemorative Hockey Canada event hoodie ($80 value), a great sense of civic/Rangers pride, a bunch of great memories + our sincere gratitude!
If you are interested, we need to hear from you by THIS Sunday, September 27 @ 6:00pm. Once you sign up, a member of our team will reach out and we will compare our needs with your availability. If it works - great. If not - all good as well. Volunteers are generally needed from 11:00am until 11:00pm but again, we will contact you with details after you sign up.

Hockey Canada U17 World Challenge - Details
The tournament features elite teams from Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland and Czechia. It is one of the most important early international stages for the next generation of hockey stars. This is the first time a minor hockey association has been awarded hosting duties.
Hockey Canada U17 World Challenge alumni include NHL superstars Connor McDavid, Macklin Celebrini, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, the Hughes brothers, Mitch Marner, Patrick Kane, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnák, William Nylander, Mikko Rantanen and Nick Suzuki, along with legends including Joe Sakic, Mats Sundin, Carey Price, Jarome Iginla, Joe Thornton and the Sedin brothers.
More than one-third of current NHL players have participated in this event, including former Oakville Rangers and current NHLers Ethan Belchetz, Luke Evangelista and Evan Bouchard.
The event is broadcast on TSN so we want to put on a great show, fill Sixteen Mile Sports Complex and have an amazing week celebrating the greatest game on Earth with some of the best young players in the world representing their countries.
